Hi Dr. Glidden, Michelle Busath, Fair Oaks, California My Annual Bloodwork to check my Adrenal Function came back yesterday with Fasting Cortisol AM Level at 27.5, Standard Range 4.0-22.0 AND my ACTH Plasma Fasting was 88, Standard 6-50. My Endo wants to do an MRI to check the Pituitary Gland. Do you have any idea what she is looking for? I did a search for both these elevated levels and found this information at the Mayo Clinic "ACTH concentrations vary considerably depending on physiological conditions. Therefore, ACTH results should always be evaluated with simultaneously measured cortisol concentrations. Cautions In very rare instances of the ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) syndrome, the elevated ACTH may be biologically active but not detected by the immunometric assay.
Falsely elevated values may occur in plasma from patients who have developed human antimouse antibodies or heterophilic antibodies."

Aloha doctor Glidden, We know a lady who had lost all her hair. Is there anything that could help her? Thank you. By the way, should we reserve a place for you in March?

Greetings Doc; If you can (off the top of your head) reiterate the frequency of the bothrops lanceolatus 30C if symptoms are present. I just received some from I & E Organics Apothecary. I thought you said 2 pellets, but how many times per day 'til symptoms disappear? Thank you for your patience.

Erin from Michigan - Hi Dr G! Thanks for all you do! 2 quick questions. First, is stuttering helped with nutrition? Second, a family member I am supposed to house sit for all winter was diagnosed with either C-diff or some really bad enzymes. Yes that was the official diagnosis. What can they take to get past this and what can I do to protect myself prior to living there...as I hear it’s contagious.
BTW, just got a new order of Osteo-FX; the flavor is not as good (powder). Also, coconut has been removed (if I am reading correctly)
