Atherosclerosis
MD Cause: Unknown
MD Rx: Statin drugs to lower cholesterol.
ND Cause: This is a subject of debate. Some people think that this is due to inflammation; to infections; to low levels of Sulphur; to stress which makes the body overly acidic. The consumption of Trans-Fats[1] is a VERY LIKELY candidate regardless of any other factors, so I advocate the complete avoidance of all Trans-Fats. Because nobody knows the exact cause here, my recommendation is to cover as many of the theoretical bases as I can with treatment. Therefore, we give healthy doses of anti-inflammatory herbs and minerals. We give adequate doses of Sulphur. We support the alkalinity of the blood by giving the 90 EN appropriate for body weight. Then we keep our fingers crossed.
Discussion: The history of atherosclerosis and its treatment in this country reads like a bad “B-Movie.” Time magazine did a remarkably good expose’ of this in June of 2016. The title on the cover: “Eat Butter.” Naturopathic physicians have been telling patients for decades to eat butter and to avoid margarine and other Trans-Fats, but nobody paid any attention. The American Heart Association, in cahoots with Proctor & Gamble (the manufacturers of Crisco – the King of Trans-Fats) told a trusting population to STOP eating butter and to replace it with Crisco. Thus, was born the Heart-Disease epidemic – and nobody went to jail. This article in Time magazine is a must-read. There are 2 other books[2] which I recommend you pick up if you want to know more about the REAL relationship between Cholesterol and heart-disease.
It is amazing to me that when So Much Blatant Corruption inside of conventional medicine is exposed nobody gets alarmed, nobody goes to jail, and everybody continues to hold the medical profession that was to blame in high regard. If it was the Chiropractors that had made that deal with Proctor & Gamble, once the Truth had been uncovered the entire profession would have been outlawed. But when the MDs do it – they get a pass…
My Rx: In addition to the 90 EN:
Good Herbs Heart Support: 4 bottles per month for 3 months. The dose is 4 ml per bottle per day.
Good Herbs Circulation Support: 4 bottles per month for 3 months. The dose is 4 ml per bottle per day.
Ultimate Selenium: 1 bottle per 75 pounds per month. Take in divided doses twice daily between meals if possible.
Muscadine Grape Extract caps: 4 bottles per month if between 100-200 pounds. 6 bottles per month if 200-300 pounds. 8 bottles per month if over 300 pounds.
Cell Shield RTQ: 1 bottle per 100 pounds per month. Take in 3 divided doses with food.
· Niacin Plus: 1 cap 3 times daily. This will produce something called a “Niacin Flush.” Your skin will get red tingly and hot. It is a normal and anticipated reaction. Don’t panic! It takes a little getting used-to. The increased blood flow is a good thing here. So just ride it to the best of your ability.
